Reaction Usage
Read the late hit angle and steer back onto a narrow bridge before you drift too far.
Read the push. Find the bridge.
On a one-block bridge, a sideways step before a hit can push you backward and sideways. Keep sprinting forward, then steer against the sideways drift. An earlier correction gives you more room.

Why not guess the side early?
A small movement change can make a big change to the hit’s angle. Your opponent can stutter-step one way, then switch just before contact. If you steer against the feint, you might help the real hit push you off. Watch the last move and correct the push you actually receive.

- Ease off the sideways key near the middle and keep moving forward.
With your camera facing down the bridge, the correction is usually A or D. Turning the camera changes which keys help. The replay shows one recoverable hit, not a guaranteed save.
They change sides at the last moment.
They feint left, then hit you toward the right edge. React left to the real push instead of committing to the first step.
TRY THIS IN GAME: Practice low over the ground. Let your partner choose either side or switch late. Save the landing before adding attacks.
