Projectiles

Purpose

Proctiles lift opponents into the air which decreases their reach and deals knockback causing their momentum to decrease, making their hit reg worse enabling you to get the first hit. The goal is to lift them into the air with the rod, then move into the 3 block range and hit them while they are at the highest point in the air. This allows you to start a combo without getting hit.

Fishing Rod

The fishing rod is most used in duels and skywars. It can be used infinitely (never run out of durability) if you don't pull back the rod, and instead switch to a different hotbar slot before using it again. (The cycle would be rod - right click, sword, then rod again.)

Snowballs and Eggs

Snowballs and eggs travel slightly faster than the fishing rod and can be spammed, so they are more useful against opponents with speed II. However, opponents with speed II will have less of a staggered time, meaning you will have to be more precise in your timing.
